Mr. Magoo

Used as a verb, this describes when a person succeeds, not through deliberate action, but through sheer dumb luck. Despite all odds and opposition, the person emerges victorious, sometimes not even aware that he has succeeded, like the cartoon character Mr. Magoo. Can also be used as a sports term, when a team plays a terrible game but somehow through luck emerges victorious at the end. Can be referred to simply as "Magoo".

"Yeah, I admit I completely Mr. Magoo'd my way through that fight. I didn't even know he hit the ground for a minute."

"Hopefully the Patriots can Mr. Magoo their way to another win like last game."

Magoo 22

A catch 22 argument in regards to documents copywritten by the Church of Scientology. If a critic quotes part of the document scientologists will claim that the quote is out of context. But if the critic quotes the entire document he will be sued for copywrite infringement.

So named for outspoken scientology critic Tory Magoo.

Scientologist will tear us apart without proof but quoting their documents is Magoo 22.

Maboobs

Dust storms on Mars. Name derived from haboobs on earth. May be any size or shape, although the largest ones are most famous. Often round or oval, ranging from very light red or pink to nearly black. May occur in pairs, but three at one time are extremely rare. Difficult to predict when they will come in, their size or shape, but eventually gravity destroys them and they just fade away, falling to the ground.
