Sometimes though it might have a sad meaning to it, like if your friend were to leave at a party you'd be sad so you say "awa" Other times where you are in a conversation with your partner and they say something cheesy, cute or super adorable you would say awa. Awa doesn't mean anything with foam. Awa in Japanese means foam but this has nothing to do with that. It's just a sound or reaction.
