The piss you take before giving a speech. Absolutely necessary when you have to give a speech., or public speaking in general.

Liam : Hey Brian, Jake up there is struggling big time on that speech.

Brian : Yea, I see.

pre-date date

Two people go out on a what seems like a date but nothing occurs after the nights events. The time between the pre-date date and the actual date can be any amount of time but must be after a whole 24 hours. The male on the date doesn't necessarily have to pay.

A man and a woman who have know each other for quite sometime run into each other at a coffee shop and they decide to sit together. They talk about deeper things instead of small talk. Then they go their separate both knowing that something more will occur. This is a pre-date date.

The Month of January where uneducated people take out loans against their tax returns and live like kings for 2 weeks before being broke again.

Kid: "Mommy, after we buy all of these energy drinks with our food stamps, can we get a new TV?"
Mom: "of course, its Pre-Tax-Month, we'll get 2 of them!"

pre-brunch

The very Portland concept of going to a super popular, delicious brunch place and putting your name on the wait list. Then you go to a nearby micro-roaster for a nice espresso drink and a small pastry to wait the hour or so for your table.

"The wait at Screen Door is like an hour on Sundays. It's so not worth it."

"No worries. You can just pre-brunch at Heart down the street."

I had some pre-trick 'r treaters knock on my door earlier, I told them to go away because they were a day early.
