Anchiornis

A god-awful pipsqueak of a sort-of-bird, known from fossils from the Jurassic of Liaoning, China. We may or may not know its colouration, but if we do know its colour it is grey and black and white with possibly a rufous red cap.
It could not fly, and ate basically anything it could swallow. The main take-away is that it's dead and it was very VERY cute!

Anchiornis is a bird.
