Anechoke

When you have a good anecdote that is apposite at a particular point of a conversation but then the subject of the conversation is frustratingly changed before you can say it, thus rendering your anecdote irrelevant.
"I had a really good story to tell about that, but then his friend told another story and the subject changed so I got totally anechoked."
