Before the song “Sincerely, Me”, it probably doesn’t even cross a fan’s mind to ship these two because they hardly even interacted. But in Sincerely, Me, Evan makes it seem like him and Connor were very close, and even though Connor is dead he comes back to portray that so that’s how people started shopping them. And new fans after listening to the whole thing are just thinking “wait aren’t evan and connor gay though? i’m so confused.”
