Redneck

Rednecks are usually characterized as someone who has a mullet, loves nascar, and meets his/her spouses at family renunions. Rednecks are born with a full knowlege of how to work on cars. Experts believe it is engraved in their DNA much like hair color. Most rednecks get revenue from disabilty or unemployment. Using food stamps to pay for their food. Some even go to Costco to feed their farm of inbred children off of free samples. Rednecks are also extremely racist and resistant to change.

If your children are named after Walker Texas Ranger or Lynard Skynard, you're definitely a redneck.

A white person from the south east US who is either rasict, uneducated,poor, or all of the above. It was meant as dergotory but Jeff Foxworthy turned it in to a badge of honor. The word came from confedarte caol miners wearing red bandannas on there necks whil;e they worked NOT FROM A BURNT NECK.

Im not a redneck i didnt like the false definitions thoe. A good example of a redneck is Larry the cable guy.

Redneck

American person of the white race that generally comes from a rural background (though not always) who is non-college educated (or acts like it) and deeply resents any person from any group that is not his or her own. Tends to enjoy racism, four-wheel drive pickup trucks, guns, flag-waving, and ultra right-wing politics. A Redneck may also belong to an ultra-conservative Christian sect (non-drinking Redneck type)or white racist group. Rednecks almost always work in manual labor and tend to frequent Wal-Mart, Bass Pro Shops, fundamentalist Christian churches, and small-town taverns.

Redneck Shuffle

A dance, usually performed spontaneously, in which the legs are slightly bent and jerked alternately by straightening the knees suddenly, causing the feet to slide approximately 2 to 3 inches to the side or rear, and the arms and hands are freely thrown side to side, then drawn in toward the chest repeatedly while snapping the fingers in time to the beat. (Somewhat similar to "the Carlton")

When Robbie found out he was getting a case of beer for his birthday, he broke into the REDNECK SHUFFLE.

Redneck New Yorker

Rural New Yorkers from any point in the state west of the Adirondacks and Catskills ("Midwest" NY residents, as opposed to NYC residents, Long Island residents, Westchester County residents, and Upstaters)).

Generally referred to by urban New Yorkers as "upstaters", and by southerners as "yankees". Neither of these groups actually has a clue as to who or what ANYBODY is, if they live over 150 miles away from themselves, since they have never been, nor will they ever even attempt to go that far from their own familiar territory because it would be too much like getting out of their comfort zones.

Urban discussion:
"Hey, looka dat Redneck New Yorker fum da Finger Lakes."
"Finger Lakes, what dey be?"
"Dey be upstate summeres, I guess."
"Oh, by da Poconos?"
"Yeah, probly."

Southern rural discussion:
"Hey Zeke, looka that yankee redneck!"
"Yep, 'at phony's fum Noo Yawk, wa-a-a-a-y-y-y-y nawtha da Mason Dixon Lann an' calls hisseff a redneck!"
"Haow c'n he do dat, livin' in a skasscrapper an' all, lak he does?"
