nazi salute

A salute that was used when an authority was present. The salute is performed by extending the right arm to at least eye level, and straightening the hand so that it is parallel to the arm. Often accompanied by "Heil Hitler" or "Heil, mein Führer!"

A soldier raised his hand in a Nazi salute and proudly said "Heil Hitler".
