white lighter myth

The idea that Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison had a white Bic lighter in their possesion when they died is a complete fabrication.

The Bic lighter was first introduced in 1973. So unless somebody has a time machine..... this is not how the white lighter myth started

Light Speed

IN THEORY: Light speed is the rate of travel of light in an un-interupted vacuum. Exactly 299,792,458 metres per second (m/s), where metre is difined by 1983 Systeme International (SI) as "The length of the path travelled by light in vacuum during a time interval of 1/299 792 458 of a second.". The theory of realitivity describes light speed as impassible in rate of travel, but this is based on the fact it hasn't been done yet *rolls eyes*.

However, Light Speed is acctually better told as such: The speed of light is the commonly used interval of time it takes for the green light to turn amber on a traffic light in South Essex, UK, or the time it takes for a traffic warden to travel from the end of the street to the parking spaces to give you a ticket as soon as you pull in.

Light speed is roughly equal to the speed light travels.

Jet Lighter

A lighter, that makes a flame so hot, it will burn you on contact. The Flame is blue and usually its electrical. They Usually have a nice design. Also they are Refilled with Butane(and 15$ or more)

Bob: Woah, where did you get your Triple, Green flame Jet lighter?

Phil: Got it from a grade 12, he got it for me and i payed him!

A clear cigarette lighter that although has no gas in it always lights.

lighter fag

A person who routinely brings a lighter (usually a jet lighter) in a vain attempt to look cool. They will frequently flash the lighter around other people.

pilot light

1 a small permanent flame on a cooking / heating appliance use to light a larger flame on demand

2 an antisocial person ( Never goes out)
