the medellin cartel was a cartel fromed by pablo escobar in colombia around the 1970s it is very famous in many movies and in the one game gta 3. in theyr later years they controlled over 80% of all worldwide drug trade and pablo escobar was classified as one of the worlds richest man. he even declared war on colombias judicial system leaving many dead. he died when he compromised to pay colombias external debt to the united states and they sent the dea to find and kill him.
