Word has many uses and can be quite versatile simular to the word "Fuck". "Word" can be used in a sincere manner in a way to say 'Cool' or 'Okay'. Or in response to something shocking. It can also be used ironically or in disgust. It can be used differently. In annoyed way. To show disbelief. To show enthusiasm. "Word up" is also sometimes used with enthusiasm. Word can be a piece of information. To be a hunt or quick explanation. To promise or tell the truth. To have a quick chat with someone. A way to request something. You can also be at a loss for words meaning you don't know how to respond, which may be shortened to simply 'Word'.
