A woman paid to be a clothes hanger for a designer's clothes while walking down a runway. Extremely thin so that only the clothes are shown without any pesky curves or body to make them look bad.

A person who poses and has pictures of themselves taken for ads/porn/posters/etc. A models job is usually to try to get clothing and other items sold.
Models are not realistic. Do not compare yourself to them. Many models (especially females) are anorexic and/or bulimic. Models often have UNhealthy eating (or not-eating) habbits. Pictures taken of models are often air-brushed to make them look "prettier" and/or thinner. Models are fake. Do not try to look like one.

Tyra Banks is a famous Victoria's Secret model.
Person A: Look at that model. I want to look like her.
Person B: She is air-brushed and fake. She is probably anorexic and/or bulimic. Please, don't try to llok like her. It's unhealthy!
