Alcohol

A substance (also known as Ethanol , Ethyl alcohol, Grain alcohol) that is naturally produced from fermentation of sugars using yeast in the right environment.

Alcohol is an intoxicating chemical that is found in alcoholic beverages, but has uses as an industrial solvent; a fuel additive or as a fuel on its own; has disinfectant properties in higher concentrations; is a useful cleaning solvent.

Don't worry! alcohol is safe to consume in moderation if it's food grade (as most of you probably know), but it is possible to overdose on alcohol in much larger amounts and it isn't too good for you if you drink it excessively.

Example 1:
Barry: Hey Kim! Would you like a beer?
Kim: Sure, but how much alcohol is in it? as I need to drive home to my kids tonight, ya know?
Barry: Sure! It contains four percent alcohol by volume, is that alright?
Kim: Yeah sure! Just one drink won't hurt, right? as long as I stick to one!

Example 2:
This car should be more environmentally friendly as it runs on Ethanol instead of Gasoline, as a safer and cleaner fuel alternative.

ALCO

1. The American Locomotive Company (ALCO). It was an American manufacturer of locomotives, primarily known for producing steam locomotives, Founded in 1901, ALCO was one of the major locomotive builders in the United States and became a key player in the railroad industry. The company’s products were widely used in North America and abroad, and it was known for its innovative designs. Their biggest rival was General Motors owned Electro-Motive Division or (EMD). ALCO’s operations included manufacturing various types of locomotives for both freight and passenger services, ALCO struggled to adapt to the growing demand for diesel locomotives as steam engines fell out of favor in the mid-20th century. Eventually it was defunct in 1969.

1. ALCO used made lots of iconic locomotives like their steam locomotives like Union Pacific Big boy (one of the biggest steam locomotives ever built), UP 4-6-6-4 Challenger, New York central’s 4-8-4 Hudson and some diesels like the FA-2 and their switcher locomotives like the RS-2, RS-3 & RS-36.
