The delay when you turn your head very quickly while drunk. The more you drink the more you're delayed.
Bro: hey man I might be drunk
You: check your delay bro
*Bro turns head quickly*
Bro: yeah dude I'm hammered

Get the Check your delay mug.Doom Loop Delay (or DLD for short) is when a Doom Looper (someone who watches the same TV show over and over again) has been so entrenched in their Doom Loop, that they have become out of touch with current affairs & TV shows. Shows they haven't seen seem like they were released yesterday, although most non loopers have probably seen them already. There are varying degrees of DLD, from mild to severe.
Doom Looper in the year 2020; Hey friend, have you seen "Making a Murderer"? Its this CRAZY TV documentary show!
Friend of Doom Looper; Yeah, that came out like 4 years ago? Did you only just see that?
Doom Looper in the year 2020; Yeah I just finished it yesterday...
Friend of Doom Looper; What? What have you been doing?
Doom Looper in the year 2020; I was watching "The Office" for the 645th time...
Friend of Doom Looper; I think you're suffering from Doom Loop Delay.

The cognitive phenomenon where the presentation of overwhelming evidence actually slows down decision-making and judgment rather than accelerating it. When faced with too much evidence, the mind freezes—unable to process, prioritize, or conclude. This delay is paradoxical: more information should lead to faster, better decisions, but beyond a certain point, it leads to paralysis. Evidence-saturation delay is why juries can deadlock after weeks of testimony, why consumers can't choose among 50 similar products, and why debates about complex issues never end despite mountains of data. The cure is not more evidence but better filtering, which is why experts are valuable: they know what to ignore. The rest of us just drown.
Example: "She spent three weeks researching which laptop to buy, reading reviews, comparing specs, watching videos. Evidence-saturation delay had struck: the more she learned, the less she could decide. She finally bought the one her friend recommended, which she could have done in five minutes. The evidence hadn't helped; it had paralyzed."

Why is me getting paid being unnecessarily delayed? And I don't really care about the cost of litigation but I did have to sit here with fluid in my brain for months. It's still there! Less now. I don't feel like my cognition is impaired as much. But I can still hear it slamming against the back of my ear drum... So, you're saying they can't do it but they're doing it. Exactly what this is intended to do. Harass, Cause Unnecessary Delay, or Increase The Cost of Litigation. And avoid having to bring me my money."
