Means that you will never be better than what you are now. Comes from the movie 'Drum Line' when Nick Cannon was running up the steps and he fell and his band coordinator told him "Boy, you gonna graduate in that white T-shirt. Damn!"

Something a failing high school/college student says when they pull an all-nighter while they stay up studying for finals.

Mother: Ok honey, just make sure to sleep well so you don't fall asleep while taking your test!

Student: Mom, are you crazy?!? I'LL SLEEP WHEN I GRADUATE!
