DM ditch

When your Dungeon Master just doesn't show up to a d&d session as some kind of sick practical joke
Druk the exploiter (kevin):"It's been 40 minutes, he's not showing up"
Harry Twig (harry):"He must have DM ditched us"
Unnamed minimal effort elf warrior (Susan): "I can't belive he did that"
*everyone cries for an hour straight*

Switch And Ditch

Switch And Ditch may be applied when an FPS (First Person Shooter) RPG (Role Play Game) enables the user to spontaneously switch in and out of two classes, or multiple classes, roles.

This term could also be used for the ability to switch out of one class after the developers reduce the performance of that class (nerfed).
Soandso can switch in and out of roles before, during or after combat. We call this a "Switch and Ditch".

Soandso learned their class was nerfed, and subsequently changed their role to a different, applicable class.

in the ditch

When you drop something of importance or usefulness in a black hole like between your car seat and center console, or between your bed and wall/nightstand you dropped it in the ditch.

Mental Ding-Dong-Ditch

When someone nearby catches your attention by saying your name but, is talking to or about someone else with the same name
Stranger: Hey Josh! how are you doing?

Josh: *looks up from phone from nearby*

Different Josh who is actually talking to the stranger: I’m good how about you?

Josh: ... I just got mental ding-dong-ditched

The great ditch

Run away from, abandon, someone/a situation/a group of people, usually not a good thing. Usually without one's knowledge. Sometimes the ditch promises 9 month earlier that he will be at the rendez-vous (Christmas stream), but he ditches.
