a stronger phrase to use instead of fugly stick. always refers to a really fugly person or someone who just not attractive in any way

She didn't just get whacked with the fugly stick, she fell out of the fugly tree and hit every branch.

A verb complex used in a dating concerning context, which means to give other people and yourself a chance to get to know somebody who might be dating material. This can include being open to new types of people, to not judge directly and not think about the fact too much and just to let it happen.

A: I will never have a relationship/someone/soulmate etc.

B: You just have to put (oneself) yourself out there!
