that's so A-League

Phrase used to describe anything of inferior quality, class, substance or style. Especially relevant when applied to sporting events.

A reference to the sometimes-disgraceful levels of skill on display in the Australian A-League football competition, which leads spectators to tears.

"That cross was so A-League".

"You fell over and spilt your drink all over yourself? Champ, that's so A-League."

The Super League

A plan made by the 12 assholes clubs in Europe to have their own separate competition, and get more TV revenue and money in the process, which would've made the gap of richer and "poor" clubs even bigger, especially when there was still a pandemic happening. Eventually everyone got mad and most of the 12 founding clubs made half-ass apologies.

Person 1: "Hey, maybe we should give The Super League a chance."
Person 2: "Someone please, exorcise this guy."

Busch League

When you live for fridays and they are 7 whole days apart, you need a tweener date, typically Wednesday, when you and your buddies drink massive amounts of busch heavy, aka diesel, in a shed with a 55 gallon barrel on fire for warmth.

"Fuck I cant wait for Friday, but its only wednesday..."
