The good ick

When something is objectively and at times deliberately uncomfortable, dark, repulsive or problematic, but you find its unpleasantness exciting or comforting because of your own subjective experiences, nostalgia or trauma.
Everybody's good icks are subjective, and what can be a good ick for someone can be a trigger for others. It's your own sweet spot where your sense of discomfort and sense of comfort meet in a pleasurable way. More broadly, it can refer to anything that is outwardly (publicly) bad and condemned but is inwardly (privately/personally) good and enjoyable.
