A term used to describe the moment at which everyone in the known universe sends you a text message. Then, once you finish replying to all of them, you spend about an hour sitting there without getting a single new message from anyone.

Text-traction

When you see someone come in a place and they make you feel awkward and you start texting friends on your phone. Often you text things that don't make sense because you're so flustered. Then you go back in your outbox later to see what you had said and it doesn't make sense and your friend texts back usually "wtf" or "?"

Girl: Dude what was up with that text you sent me?!
Girl 2:What'd it say?
Girl: "You are so cool! why?"
Girl 2': OH that's when my ex walked in and i needed a huge Text-traction!
Girl: Oh girl i got ya

Someone who misuses text messaging.

Texting many one or two word messages.
Using test messaging to stalk.
Texting late at night or early in the morning.
"Sorry I didn't get your text about graduation, my inbox was full of one word messages from a text offender"

An individual who sends an inappropriately large number of SMS text messages, especially to an actual or potential romantic partner. The text maniac's messages are typically banal and uninteresting.
