1. A japanese term derived from a french term referring to animation. anime=animation=cartoons

2. An excuse to watch cartoons without embarrassment and palm it off as being "appreciative of fine art," and so giving the watcher a reason to go ballistic anytime anyone utters the slightest criticism of his/her taste and/or choice of hobby.

3. An overused method of worshipping a culture one has never had any real connection with, while constantly hating and acting disgusted with the often more socially advanced culture one currently resides with(see "Wapanese," and "Filipino," at
least in reference to SoCal).

Otaku: "Hello!"

Man: "Hi, can you tell me where the nearest video store is?"

Otaku: "Anime is NOT cartoons! You f***ing uneducated pigdog!"

A 10 year old degenerate that jacks off in VR CHAT and consider themselves an animator even though the most fps they put into their work is atleast 1. Making their entire life's accomplishment based off a slideshow. They can't take criticism from their own friends so they go into a "retard defense" reflex, at this point the only thing the person can say is "I didn't ask" or "Ok". Be careful when you bring sexuality and genders on the table. She thinks there's thousands but sadly there's only two. Any controversy you start will leave you surrounded by other 10 year old's just like her.

Anime Hater

A person who dislikes anime. The reason for this is usually that they had an encounter with one of anime's obsesive idiotic fans who visiously attack anyone who dosn't like the same tv shows as they do(see the definition by Asuka for the perfect example).

Some dislike it for the sometimes dull and derivitive plots, cleche's, poor animation, overhyped quality, ect.

And guess what, just because we don't like the same TV shows as you dosn't make us racists, you morons.

Anime hater: Anime is far too overated.
