The Wal-Mart Effect

When you've become a permanent employee of Wal-Mart - where you've paved your destiny by binding yourself to work there for the rest if your life, it is inevitable that you will become a fatty, a super fatty fat fatty, some could even argue morbidly obese fatty. This comes from the depression and misery & rollercoaster of negative emotions that comes with being employed with Wal-Mart. Every employee that works their way up in the store, undoubtedly, experiences The Wal-Mart Effect. Fattys.

Friend 1: Hey buddy, you've gained some weight since I seen you last!
Friend 2: Yeah, I got hit with the Wal-Mart Effect when I became a customer service manager.

Friend 1: Wow, our manager sure is a wide load!
Friend 2: Well yeah, every manager falls victim to The Wal-Mart Effect.

Manager: Go wash the windows.
Employee: Whatever you fat loser, if you don't kill yourself, The Wal-Mart Effect will claim you, fat ass.

The Kardashian effect

It's when someone complains about how hard they have it, not to get OR take the help offered, but just simply because they want to get attention and create drama to show how hard they think they think they have it.

Especially useful on social media

Example: I’m stuck on the freeway car broken down, no one for miles, kids screaming in the back seat, my eldest has a disability and doesn’t understand and I have no mobile service but it dropped in enough to post this 😰

Response: Help offered by multiple people all turned down with the ‘ill solider on’, it’ll be ok’ or ‘this is my life I’m used to it’. And yet they can keep responding to said posts/texts. Oh, your suffering from the kardashian effect!

squeezed lemon effect

When an individual dumps another individual after they have received every possible benefit they could get out of them.

This is a reference to a lemon that gets squeezed every single drop out of it aftrr which it is dumped in the trash can.

Jane got some nice clothing from Joe, a place to stay until she saved up a bit, a new phone, a new car, a great trip to Ibiza. Joe is now poor and Jane abandons him. Poor Joe just became a victim of the squeezed lemon effect.

The River Effect

When one individual within a team or group speaks first during a presentation, however during their speaking they cover all of the notes which were meant to be covered by the group as a whole. This generally renders the rest of the group in a awkward and unpleasant situation of not having any information to contribute to the discussion.

River, Dave, and Alex are all presenting a project on elephants. They have a 2 page summary of notes.
River is the first to speak, and in his brief time speaking he covers all 2 pages of notes. This leaves the rest of the group with nothing to say.

This is "The River Effect" , everyone else in the group is stuck awkwardly stumbling for things to say or contribute.

The Thelvo Effect is what happens when a person joins a new group of people and almost immidiately is invited to the inner circle or leadership of this group, and is now the decision maker.

This is an example of a very influential person.
