u probably looked this word up because ur friend said ‘another day another slay 😋 💅’ or ‘SLAYYY’ to u. well basically it literally just means ‘good job’ but ‘yassified’ by tweenage and teenage girls or smth.

and sorry to the people who might actually find this unfunny 14 y/o white girl sh*t funny, but unpopular opinion: this word is PAINFULLY unfunny and should’ve died years ago...but instead got more popular. and even worse, with those kids born in literally 2008-2012 apparently they’re 10-14 or smth, which, agreeably, is very very young, but shouldnt all of em be like, 4-8??

A place you don't want to be. This place may exhibit any combination of the following characteristics:

1. a high crime rate
2. a plethora of sketchy characters (aka thugs)
3. dark alleys or blind corners
4. the presence of metal detectors or rent-a-cops
5. instills a fear of you gettin' jacked

Ladies, if you have to ask a guy to walk you to your car for safety reasons (and not because you want to make out with him) ... the place is definitely shady.

I don't care that parking garage has decent lighting, it is shady from midnight to 6 am. Why else would they need a rent-a-cop?

The G-bar over in downtown is shady. Even my buddy Ian, who's pretty much a thug, got jacked there.
