Converse

Simple-but-effective shoes based on the design manufactured by Converse in around 1915 and promoted and worn by Basketball player Chuck Taylor.

They're now iconic shoes which can be worn in a casual and smart-casual settings; the classic converse is a high top shoe made of canvas with a rubber base and toe pad; along with many lace holes meaning they can be made unisex due to their flexibility. They also come in low-top with or without a converse logo(the logo on low-tops is different as the ankle-logo cannot fit on the shoe).

Despite many variations in colour and design; they are always identifiable by their simple canvas/rubber design. And they're awesome.

Used to be a great brand of sneaker until converse closed its doors here in the USA six years ago and got bought out by nike. Now the converses today are made out of cheap china sweatshop material and have become a favor of those annoying emo and goth kids.

Screw converse. Im wearing airwalks instead.

I think they're cool but they're overpriced and unoriginal, they used to be quirky and cheaper but now everyone wears them! I still like them, but they're turning into a shoe version of burberry - they're being taken over by chavs and wannabes who only buy them because the people they want to be like buy them.. but they're still the coolest sneakers on earth!

the answer is a definite definite yes.

not only are they smart looking, but they are very durable.
the body of the shoe bends to the shape of your foot.
also, the manmade rubber-like soles are hardwearing.
