Amsterdam Traffic Light

Generally a fun game played by tourists visiting the Dutch capital of Amsterdam. First the group goes to a coffee shop and smoke some cannabis (Green Light). Next, the group goes to a bar for a beer (Yellow Light) and finally a stop by the girls in the red light district (Red Light).

My friends and I visited Amsterdam last week and completed six rounds of the Amsterdam Traffic Light! I am now down 500 Euro!

Pink Light District

Pink-Light District is English-language nomenclature referring to brothels fronting as hair salons in China. The term derives from Red-Light District but is specific to the P.R.C., as Chinese brothels are identifiable nationwide by the transparent-pink film that typically covers hair salon sliding glass doors. Such hair salons usually operate in small clusters, hence forming a "district." The term "Pink Light District" is a neologism directly attributable to, and first seen in print in, the book CHINA: Portrait of a People (Tom Carter, 2008), which features in part a series of revelational photographs of various pink-light districts across China, the first published book ever to do so. The term is not, however, commonly used by the Chinese themselves.

Thousands of suspected prostitutes were arrested last weekend during a city-wide police sting of Beijing's notorious pink light district.

Chinese Lighthouse

pop punk jams from the East Great Falls. They have a song called "The Falls" (Originality is their specialty). All members are in fact Chinese, so don't ask again. The drummer is extremely unfancy due to his years of confinement as lead snare for the marching band. The bassist claims to be an underwater creature specialist. The guitarist is an absolute prick because his balls are made of 100% air. And the frontman....well, he's just a big stocky loser. All 5 members (there's one imaginary one) may be classified as "drakesters" based off of their social media spam sent to the one and only Drake Bell. They are trolls on twitter.

I'm going to see Chinese Lighthouse tonight.
