For example, if a person is male but wants others to think of him as a female, he might change his name to Caitlyn, and demand to be called Caitlyn, demonizing anyone who calls him by his actual name. He wants you to fakename him. If you do not, he will say that you are "deadnaming" him, a term used to manipulate people into feeling guilty for being honest.
Bruce said "Hey, stop calling me Bruce! Call me Caitlyn, to show that you fully agree with the idea that I'm a woman. Do it or else you are not a good friend. Just accept me as being anything I claim to be!"
