The sword was pulled by Arthur Pendragon, more commonly known as King Arthur, and Arthur became king of Camelot. He used the sword until he broke it in a battle where he violated the riles of chivalry. Afterwards, it was replaced with a sword he gained from the Lady of the Lake, Excalibur.
