Blue MAGA

Coined in 2016 to describe Bernie Sanders supporters who act just like Trump supporters, the term is derived from Trump's "Make America Great Again" MAGA, and from the Democrats' association with Blue on Election Night, lending itself to terms like "Blue States."

In true Blue MAGA fashion, Blue MAGAs made a nonsensical comparison between Democrats' nonviolent resistance and Trump's violent attacks on nonviolent dissenters, and called mainstream Democrats "Blue MAGA," a technique Orwell Warned Us about in "Nineteen Eighty-Four."
