widnes vikings

A world know rugby team, one of the only teams to be world champions won in 1989 against Canberra raiders.

They play in the “fortress” also know as Halton stadium.

Widnes entered administration and was relegated at the end of the 2018 season after the club at 1.8 million stole by the ‘board’. Even though being relegated the club and fans managed to bring together enough money to keep the team running for the 2019 season. Finishing 11 in the table after a 12 point deduction.

Widnes is know for having a strong fan base and being able to create songs for every occasion.
Widnes got a chance to play at Wembley stadium (24th August) against Sheffield where they lost as the referee allowed Sheffield to be off side the full game and Jordan Johnson (scrum half) getting badly injured and taken to hospital in the first 4 minutes.
