Media Shower

When a celebrity or a new person gets WAY too much spotlight. This can cause a snobbish side to surface, and their friends or aquaintances to notice them acting differently. Otherwise, this causes the "showered" person to feel shy or be surrounded by people by simply going outside their house, making them annoyed.

After Jack's new speech on world matters, he got a media shower and became a different person; one his friends didn't know anymore.

Once Beth won the spelling bee, her media shower forced her to skip school for the next week.

windows media player

A very bad media player in comparison to others like winamp. Has the tendancy to miss the first two seconds of an audio file. It has a very complicated layout and large window size making a simple task like playing an audio file a chore. Ripping music is almost pointless due to this. on the plus side WMP opens faster than its competitors allowing you to play a file almost instantainiously. WMP also suffers from its horrid lack of plug-ins and the windows web sites don't even supply them for download.

Argh. I just wanted to play my movie but Windows Media Player doesn't support the plug-in.

Medallion

A Medallion is a middle aged, hard living, caucasian man. They are typically found throughout the southwest and particularly where gambling and smoking in restaurants is legal, i.e.. Tahoe, Vegas, Reno, Tucson, Phoenix. They tend to be badly weathered from the sun and shirtless wherever permitted. Their name comes from the medallions they sport around their necks, usually a memento from one of their favorite gambling towns. These are sometimes accompanied by ridiculous turquoise rings and bracelets. Medallions are all chain smokers (meth, cigarettes, crack, carpet) and heavy drinkers (thunderbird, malt liquor, box wine, everclear, paint thinner)

" I can't park at the meter, I gave that Medallion at the 7/11 all my change!"

1. Someone with an almost pathological need to be on TV, for most part blocked by the movies since very,very, few would pay to see him or her. The 21st Century is made for someone like this, where no talent, and worst of all, no brains, is not a block to getting on TV show how, some where.

social media laundering

The act of getting another person to post a potentially controversial comment on social media sites (e.g. Facebook, Google+, Twitter etc.) because of a concern that the post will offend ones friends and/or reflect poorly on oneself.

John, who was a liberal (and kind of a pussy), and had a lot of conservative friends, decided to do some social media laundering when posting his views on social issues.
