Often used as a pejorative, specifically toward post-high school gossips as they age into their late twenties.

Example: my 18 year-old friend just called me crying after someone at a party just shamed her for sleeping with some guy, and I tried to be supportive while thinking, "This is some serious teenage bullshit".
