bouget

A small leather pouch used in medieval times to store coins, rations, small tools and all manner of haberdash, and the precursor to the modern wallet. Additionally, (formerly) in a military or (extantly) in a heraldry setting, a "water-bouget" refers to 2 bags of water suspended on a yoke used to transport water through a battle field.
