breakbeat

1) A drum part, usually sampled from old funk records used in hip hop tracks. Breakbeats are also sliced and manipulated in drum n bass and other froms of electronic music.
2) A variant of electronic that is characterized by the lack of the typical "four on the floor" (thump thump thump thump) bassline and loud rolling basslines. It differs from drum n bass in that it's the same tempo as most house music (around 130 BPM) instead of the faster tempo of drum n bass.

I got tired of the boring bass drum stomping in house, so I turned to breakbeat.

spring break

The time of school year where college aged young adults and some high school students (In March or April) descend upon vacation resorts such as Cabo, Cancun, Miami, and other sunny locales to partake in much debauchery which usually results in hangovers, a burning sensation when urinating, strange discharge coming from various orifices, interesting pictures, and great memories!

Girl 1: "Hey, have you heard about the new spring break hot spot?"
Girl 2: "No, where is it?"
Girl 1: "Intercourse Pennsylania! Amish country! I can't wait to get freaky at the barn raising! MTV is going to be there! I gotta go out and buy an apron to go with my dress!"

breaking benjamin

a great band only known for their one song "so cold" which the radio stations played out but will not pay attention to their other great songs such as polyamorous,ordinary man,blow me away,away,water,forget it,home,firefly and many more the band is slowly gaining its popularity but is still mostly underground which i think is best and decreases the time of them selling out.so far they have 3 cds out "saturate","wer not alone", and "so cold EP" which features the acoustic version of so cold and a song used on the halo 2 sound track "blow me away"
