Noun

1. A musical subgenre combining Hip-Hop music with video game music, especially from the 8-bit era.

Bit-Hop Was invented by American rapper-producer MC Zappa in the mid-to-late 2010s. Although various Hip-Hop tracks sampling video game music were released before then (such as Saigon's "Get Busy", he is credited with naming and expanding upon the genre.

Yo, you heard that new Bit-Hop joint "The Beast Named October"? Shit is the bomb! Bit-Hop is dope.
