Conservative Rating Fallacy

The Conservative belief that the majority agree with their opinion, particularly because of ratings on a social media post.

Generally this occurs on left-leaning social media posts, where the majority of the received feedback is from conservative users.

Typically the smaller, conservative group tend to base their beliefs around hatred, and thus feel the need to give overwhelming negative feedback to assert dominance and protect their sensitive egos. The actual majority however, tends to be made up of people who don't care, or are intelligent enough not to argue with idiots.
Post: "Donald Trump has a bad spray tan and says a lot of stupid things."

Person 1: Why does that post have more dislikes than likes? Everything about it is completely true.

Person 2: Oh don't mind that, it's just from a bunch of cultists using the Conservative Rating Fallacy.

Fred: "Elon claims he lives in a box and below the poverty level despite immense wealth. As does Mr Beast, Jack Dorsey, Donald Trump and Mark Zuckerberg once upon a time."

Joan: "Sounds like more conservative guilt, Fred"

Conservative

That Tr*mp supporting conservative is so ugly that if I was falling of a cliff I wouldn’t even ask them for help just because I wouldn’t want to touch them.

City Conservative

Typically a young person, often living in suburban/urban areas who has moderate, centre right conservative values. What separates a City Conservative from their Conservative peers is they are less judgemental and generally open about their beliefs; they will rarely have a party membership and will seldom commit to one political party.

The values of City Conservatives are also often more pragmatic and internal. For example, a city conservative would not voice total opposition to abortion, or shame those who have one, they just would not get one themselves. It is an evolution of the ‘silent majority’ analogy in US politics whereby pragmatic conservatives who want a stable family, a secure job, moral value and a love of country do not want to be placed in the same box as MAGA republicans.
