Socialism

Socialism is the belief that ALL forms of slavery, not just chattel slavery, should be illegal. That means your boss cannot sell a portion of your labor to someone who will effectively own a percentage of you and live off of your hard work.

Socialism is the belief that no one should get to freeload off of you, compared to Capitalism which is the belief that the rich should be allowed to buy a percentage of you and leech on you.

A: Hey man I am so fucking tired of creating $500 of value in a work day but only getting $100 of it.
B: Me too. I wish we could abandon Capitalism and switch to Socialism.

It's when the government controls the economy. When it says "the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole", it means community as a whole as the state. It used to be a synonym of communism. State capitalism and state socialism is the same thing.
