Head music is term that originated in the Midwest in the 1970s. The term is used to describe a quality within a song, an album, or an artist’s body of work that puts you in a deep contemplative place. Head music isn’t exactly a genre in the traditional sense, but could include certain 60s psychedelic, 70s prog rock, and beyond. Though head music is a cross-genre phenomenon - there are some common elements which generally include droning base or synthesizer sounds, long crescendoing guitar solos, and if there are lyrics they are deeply moving, thought provoking, and paint vivid imagery. Head music transports you to a different place. It creates an atmosphere where the listener and the musicians are one.
Person one:
”Here, listen to this! It’s head music... Put on some headphones and listen to the whole album straight through without interruption.”
Person two: “Should I smoke some grass before hand?”
Person one: “Definitely!”

A type of torture where the victim is subjected to listening to several songs or musical instruments that are considered unpleasing to the human ear
That bitch pissed me off, so I am going to drive to her house, turn on my car stereo and inflict some musical torture!
Listening to Rick Ashley's Never Gonna Give You Up is considered musical torture.

A genre of music that infuses elements of blues, rockabilly, country, soul, jazz, folk, and classical music. Also sometimes incorporates tribal, rap, and electronic musics. Very influential and important to the post-WWII era. Main subgroups include classic rock, psychadelic, alternative, metal, and jam band. While much of modern rock is total crap, it has inspired many new styles of music, like raggae and hip hop. it also has inspired older styles of music like classical and blues. Song topics range From love to war to what they had to breakfast. All in all, the greatest and most influential style of music.
Led Zeppelin, Jimmi Hendrix, The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers Band, The Who, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Black Sabbath, Elvis Presley, Metallica, Van Halen, Guns 'n' Roses, R.E.M., Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blues Traveler, Aerosmith, Chuck Berry, Bruce Springsteen, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many more are all rock music.

Long ago there was a way skilled musicians could express themselves about a variety of topics. Often, once famous, rock stars would use drugs and alcohol. They, however, all had skills. Sadly, this culture was brutally murdered. The horrors of modern "music" killed the fuck out of the last of real music. With the death of rock, music finally died. It has long been believed by music fans that someday a band will rise to resurrect music. This band has not yet come. As of now the barren wasteland that is now the radio is dominated by horrible demons such as Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, and other such total failures to create music.
