Dirty flash

A term used in the custom Android ROM community that refers to flashing or installing a ROM without wiping user data.

Usually only possible if upgrading to a newer version of the same ROM.

The dev said dirty flash was okay, so I don't have to wipe my user data.

Flash Nostalgia is a sudden rush of sadness you get when you experience something (typically a song or an old picture/video) that reminds you of your past. You reminisce about the old times, good or bad, and wish you could slow down or reverse time and make better choices.

Did you hear that they played Hey Soul Sister at the assembly yesterday? haven’t heard that song since like 2010. Shit gave me flash nostalgia.

The instantaneous feeling of power and authority felt by an individual who has just been promoted at work or recently accomplished some mildly difficult feat. This individual generally tries to appoint menial tasks which are now "below" him/her to his/her peers.

Flash happy

(1) This phrase describes a driver who has a tendency towards flashing the lights of his/her vehicle at other road users, often with little justification.
(2) The phrase also describes a photographer who is apt towards taking many photos, often without paying much attention towards selecting only the best shots. It may also have connotations of the photos being taken at an inappropriate time or place.

(1) During the rush hour a relatively large proportion of road users tend to be "flash happy" and impatiently flash their lights in annoyance at others, often with very little provocation.
(2) "Flash happy" tourists can often be found at popular tourist hotspots such as Buckingham Palace, London where they are happy to take photos of anything that catches their eye.
