a bunch of kids from the ages 8-14 who spend all of their parents money on things like skincare they won't need till their thirty that costs $40 for a sample size, a smiley face or a nirvana hoodie they found at target (they think nirvana is a style..) top comebacks are usually 'who? asked.' 'your mom' 'emo' and 'slvt.' when they see an emo, they usually scream, 'CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECESSS THIS IS MY LAST RESORTTTT' or, 'BECAUSE TONIGHT WILL BE THE NIGHT WHERE I WILL FALL FOR YOU🖤🖤' (this shows that they know emo stuff) they bully other kids usually for no reason at all, specially if they like anime or things they don't. they are usually at least one of the 3: racist, homophobic, or abliest. they rely on their 27+ friends to do their homework for them probably. they also spend usually $100+ dollars on a pair of pants that will rip in 2 months

person1: hello, *insert preppies name*. wanna be friends?

person2 (the preppy): erm.. no. your.. EMO 😠😠 CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES THIS IS MY LAST RESORTTT🤘🤘

people who have humor like a 12 year old.... they use "GORL-" and "SLAY" a lot for some reason. most sane people find it obnoxious.

Preppy originated from the style of people who attend prep schools, now the use of the word has broadened, you don't need to go/went to a prep school to be preppy. Preps are usually wealthy and well off, they wear nice, expensive clothes because they can afford it, they vacation often, & they live the "privileged life". A few common brands preps wear are:
- Ralph Lauren
- J. Crew
- Vineyard Vines
- Lilly Pulitzer
- Lacoste
- Tommy Hilfiger
Preps clothing style is Clean cut, polished, & classic. Preps are NOT trendy, they do not follow trends, and they don't wear cheap brands. Preps care about their education, they receive or aim for above average grades. Preps are confident and not afraid to be above the trends. Just because someone is preppy doesn't mean their parents or others family members are too. Preppy is not just a style, it's a life style.

A way of describing a person or outfit. "Preps," or the people who are "preppy," can generally be seen in light pastel colors given expensive sounding names such as "sea breeze" and "nantucket red." It is also another way of describing the gay population of New England.

Person1:"Look at that guy wearing the pink shorts and yellow polo shirt"

Person 2:"Ha, I bet he and his boyfriend are really preppy"

Prep in Pink Shorts: "Take that back! These shorts that I bought with my fathers money probably cost more than you will ever make!"
