2. A generalization for someone with long, dark hair, usually parted on the side and covering one eye.
3. An insult for someone who listens to post-hardcore music.
4. A generalization for someone who has a tendency to self-harm. Whether for attention or otherwise.
5. A genre of music; Emocore.
6. A widely misunderstood term.

1. Guy 1: "Today's been so hard, people won't stop yelling at me and I didn't even do anything!"
Guy 2: "Quit whining, emo fag."
2. Tom has long black hair, he must be emo!
3. Tom listens to a song and there's a guy screaming. He must be an emo fag!
4. Tom has scars on his arms, he's such an emo fag!
5. Bands such as LoveHateHero are Emocore.

Noun:
1. An offensive gaming term used with a negative connotation by the apathetic gamer to accuse another gamer of caring.

2. Used to deflect agitation as a ruse.

Ex.1:
Gamer A, "I can't believe you went AFK during the fight. We would have won if you didn't AFK!!!"
Gamer B, "Chill out man, smoke some weed, don't be such an emo fag."
Gamer A, "You are an idiot, and you are an unreliable lazy fuck."
Gamer B, "Whatever dude, go slash your wrists with an emo knife."

Ex.2:

Gamer A "Are we that petty that you have to steal my shit?"
Gamer B "Unfortunately, you didn't have claim when I killed it, A-SO-Sorry."
Gamer A "Whatever man, I don't care honestly. No need to get so emo over it."

The byproduct of the late wave Baby Boomer's and early Generation X'ers that didn't beat the hell out of their boys, instill values and principals in them, and man them up. They find drama where there doesn't need to be any. Most usually have black, shaggy hair, a 28 inch waist or smaller, are Caucasian or Oriental, and listen to manufactured music that will be forgotten about in less than a year.

Emo 

Emo is a genre of music, a type of pop-punk music, but with a softer, more mainstream and guitar-based sound. It is NOT a type of person/style, as more commonly thought. "Emo" people can be classified under "scene", which is basically the same thing.

Friend #1: "Did you hear My Chemical Romance broke up??!!"
Friend #2: "OMG, yes! I was so depressed when I found out... they were my favourite emo band."
Friend #1: "I know... I thought you should know." *frowns* "Have you heard of All-Time-Low? They're a pop-punk band, kinda like My Chemical Romance."
Friend #2: "Yeah, I've heard of them. Thanks ____!"
