Gullible's Travels

What Jonathon Swift's "pygmies and giants" book should really be named, since you'd have to be outrageously naive to actually believe any of the crap that he relates.
If it would be possible to find someone who genuinely thought that the "Gullible's Travels" book was based on true events, you could likely also get him to swallow two additional "fanfic" chapters wherein the book's narrator also was able to assume ownership of the Brooklyn Bridge and establish a homestead in the Florida swamplands.

Time Traveling

To consume enough alcohol to the point where you only remember several key highlights from your binge drinking experience...day or night drinking.
Man 'o' man!! I was time traveling last night. After the first bar, I remember only small blips of the evening. Food, that one bar, some chick I danced with, made out, eating all your food outta the fridge...then...

solo travel

The art of throwing clothes, toiletries, and an open heart into a backpack, and buying a one-way ticket to a city you've never been to before. By yourself.
Destinations are chosen by exchange rates , hostel/transit infrastructure, tourist safety, culture, and your adventure craving, trekking mountains, diving reefs, overland safaris, nightlife, beaches. Trips last one week to many months, most successful when loosely planned, leaving room for serendipity as you hear about others' experiences.

Solo travelers stay in hostels ranging from "surprisingly decent" to "let's not touch these floors without socks on". Compromise is unneeded, meaning breakfast at 2pm is valid and pivoting from Tokyo to Thailand because some Australian mentioned a full moon party is completely reasonable. In hostel common rooms you will forge intense friendships with other 20-30 somethings who also dropped everything to see the world. You'll hear new life perspectives over budget dinners, swap travel tips, and swear you'll visit each other (you won't, but Instagram follows are forever). Despite starting solo, you might meet someone and travel together for the next few weeks and sometimes see familiar faces from hostel to hostel. Solo travel exemplifies self-autonomy as you navigate foreign transit and ask for help with a smile and Google Translate. It's liberating, terrifying, and personality-transforming. Having no one to rely on but yourself creates intensely satisfying personal growth.
She quit her job and went solo traveling for six months. Came back with 47 close friends from 23 countries, a backpack held together by hope and duct tape, and an unshakeable confidence in her ability to figure literally anything out.

Safe Travels

"Safe Travels" was a phrase first coined by Steve T in 1994 prior to a business trip to Luanda Angola. It's a phrase that encompasses all sentiments such as "good health", "be careful", "stay safe" and the like. The phrase is intended to address the moment an individual leaves their residence, place of employment, hotel, or other temporary location and in transit to their destination and until they return from subject travels.
"Hey Beth, Safe Travels" or "Mark safe travels on your trip to Europe".

Distraction Travel

Travel that is interesting enough and long enough away from your normal life that the distraction of the new sights, activities, food, drinks, culture etc cause you to break all your normal habits. Can be great for weights loss, clearing a foggy head due to stress or a high work load. Generally involves at least 4 weeks away to allow complete disconnection from ones normal regime, lifestyle and habits.
I really need some distraction travel to clear my head as I can't decide whether to quit this job and go full time on my sideline or not.
