That special time of year when college kids, crackheads, and high school dropouts alike ban together to celebrate their degeneracy. Includes all loose behavior, such as throwing up in the bar, peeing in the middle of the street, stealing traffic cones, and any other loose behavior.

Townie

In rural Canada, townie simply means an individual who grew up in a town, as opposed to someone who grew up in a thoroughly rural area. Townie has connotations of bourgeois. It indicates a cultural division. The townie would have all of the pretenses and trappings of those from large cities. He/she would be fully intent on attending University. Their music and fashion tastes would be cosmopolitan. Unlike their rural counterparts, they would NOT live to hunt deer and moose, go mudding, and make a sporadic living off of cutting firewood and informal mechanical repairs. There is a bit of disdain from rural folk for the townie, notably for the townie's lack of self-sufficiency. However, the townie often has respect for the rural lifestyle and is likely, at times, to affect it.

The guy's a townie. Doubt he's ever even run a thinnin' saw.

Moronic people who live in cities/towns with little to no knowledge of practical life skills. Usually incapable of surviving on their own. Not used to physical labor or outdoors, yet have large egoes and superiority complexes, considering themselves better than non-townies.
