A "pixie pull" is when you find something valuable (to you or others) that lead you to believe you have increased luck, and therefore try to find more valuable items to no avail.

Usually in the context of TCG cards, where the victim spends more money buying card packs thinking they will get a high ticket card.

It can also be used when your hopes are brought up and then immediately shut down.

Bro, I got a god pack pixie pull yesterday. I bought 2 more booster boxes and ended up with nothing good. Waste of money :(
