Sniping

The act of putting up advertisements (usually posters or stickers) to advertise a band, show, or other event.

This is usually done by a band's street team or somebody affiliated with the band and is illegal in some circumstances.

I went sniping for this band the other day but I got busted by the cops.

Sniped

Getting sniped is when a teacher calls you out for literally doing nothing or for literally doing everything. Often times getting sniped ruins self esteem and makes one consider suicide.

Mrs Harris: (Looks at you) Not gonna name any names but some muchachos in this class are going to cause us not to be able to have a fiesta
Zane: Thanks for 'not making it obvious'
Mrs Harris: (Throat slashing motion) Cut it out muchacho
