School mascot of Southern Illinois University (SIU).

The Saluki is a dog originally bred in Egypt for hunting purposes. Thus, it is sometimes referred to as an 'Egyptian Hunting Dog'.

You will usually hear the word "Saluki" mentioned on national television during the first or sometimes second rounds of the NCAA tournament every year. But never after that.

The Saluki is also the only domesticated animal ever known to be able to grow back it's testicles after being neutered.

goggle salute

Another way of waving,saying Hi!,saying thanks,acknowledging a compliment,whilst wearing goggles of any type doing any activity.The goggle salute is done by grasping the lower part of lense frame {right or left} with thumb and upper part with middle finger and moving goggle outwards about 1-2 cm a few times in a jaunty and care free fasion.Usualy accompanied with a smirk,eyebrow arch or other smart-ass look.

Salius

It's a character in the online game Tharsis Gate that is actually a completely automated set of triggers, otherwise known as scripts, run by start either with one push of a key on the keyboard, or in most cases by a timer set to start the series of commands. These commands can run anywhere from 500 to more than 1000 total in a matter of seconds, preventing normal game play for most other players in the game overall and completely removing areas from game play altogether for those who wish to play there.

Said character, Salius, has been known to bot (running scripts without being present, using timer) for literally weeks at a time, as is evident by his overall level in comparison with his age. Runs elaborate triggers set to beep his laptop loudly whenever a tell is sent to him, or his name is mentioned on gossip, or someone enters a room he is in, mainly wizards, who run the game but are afraid to wipe a high level player, even though the rules dictate he should be wiped.

Salutate

To say hello to someone or greet them, a situation in which a person may say "salutations." Using this word is perfect in all situations, as it sounds inherently dirty and will often be initially interpreted as such.

See that girl over there? I totally want to salutate her.
I'll be sure to salutate your grandfather tonight at the party.
