The former governor used the word in a Twitter message last summer, calling on "peaceful Muslims" to "refudiate" a planned mosque near the site of the 9/11 attacks in New York.

Get the Refudiate mug.The sexual act of sodomy while driving a snow mobile. In Alaska, refudiation is a traditional way of settling grudges. The practice began in the mid-19th century when rival oil and mineral speculators would settle claims through an act of sodomy while riding in a dog-sled. Public displays of ritualistic sex brought levity to angry miners and was thought to "reverse the feud" between the two injured parties. After refudiating, it was understood that no further arguments could be made.
