The Wegman's Sushi of

When something is almost as good as the real thing, but is definitely, noticeably NOT the real thing. Something that's definitely not bad, but only good enough to get that fix when you don't have time and/or money for the authentic version. Not to be confused with "Gas station sushi" which is a joke in and of itself.

I really want a BMW, but they're too expensive. So I got this VW which is like the Wegman's Sushi of BMW.
