The former state name of the Kingdom of Thailand before the 24th of June 1932, which was on the national day of Thailand established by field marshal and dictator, Plaek Phibunsongkhram. The name was changed due to national identity and rejection of colonial legacy, the name Siam was given to Thailand, which was called as Ayutthaya before 1767, after the fall of Ayutthaya.
