A phrase used by the community in the video game League of Legends, when the balance team nerf a champion because said champion uses an overpowered item, then nerfs the item without buffing the champion as compensation, leaving the champion to die and become forgotten for about 2 years.

"Dude, my main just got The Riot Special!"
"So who are you going to play for the next 2 years?"

A sex riot occurs when a celebrity with a large fanbase, mostly of the female variety, does something amazingly awesome that it causes utter confusion and chaos among the fandom. The cause of the sex riot may not be from the celebrity directly, but something related to said celebrity.

The origin of this word comes from FOX's hit TV show Glee. In an episode featuring Britney Spears, the high school's glee club New Directions put on a show at their school performing the song "Toxic." Students at the school become sexually aroused, causing the character Sue Sylvester to pull down the fire alarm and describe the event as a "Britney Spears sex riot."
