A new wave of house music that has blown up in late 2016, appealing to the youths. Usually uses loads of nostalgic samples and tons of bitcrusher on everything. Many lofi house producers/djs choose an ironic name to support the aesthetic ; mall grab, DJ Seinfeld, Ross from Friends etc.

House enthusiast: “Jheez I fuck with this mall grab dude. Absolutely buzzing set last night.”
House enthusiast 2: “Yeah mate, that’s lofi house for you.”
